About this game

Sky Raid is a retro - style arcade shooter much like those on the Atari 2600, Apple II, Vic-20 and other 8-bit game systems of the 1970s and 1980s such as Williams' Defender, Activision's Chopper Command and a tiny bit of River Raid and Choplifter thrown in too. So, just like many of those classic retro / Atari 2600 titles it's all about shooting, survival and point scoring!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Sky Raid hearkens back to the nostalgic style of entertainment and challenge provided by old-school and retro arcade and coin-op shooters such as Defender, River Raid, Choplifter, The Empire Strikes Back(The 80's video game), Attack Of The Mutant Camels, Chopper Command and numerous other Atari 2600 / Atari 800 / Atari 400 / Atari 5200 / Atari 7800 / ColecoVision / ZX Spectrum / ZX80 / ZX81 / TI 99-4A / FM Towns / Tandy / Commodore 64 (early era) / Amstrad CPC / Vic-20 / Acorn Electron / TRS-80 / Intellivision / BBC Micro / MSX (early era) / PC-98 (early era) / Vectrex / Apple II / IBM PC / early MS-DOS (CGA era) / QBasic and other 8-bit games made during the 1970s and 1980s.

As an enforcer and defender of the skies above this planet, you will take command of a combat helicopter and use your cannon or missiles to destroy the space invaders and their UFO - like enemy craft and gain as many points as you can while avoiding getting shot down by the increasingly dangerous enemy fleet. Much like the game Defender, you can travel either left or right and enemies will appear in either direction of you.

Every time your chopper is shot down by an enemy spaceship you lose a life. Run out of lives and the game is over!

Features Google Play achievements and leaderboards.

Runs at 60FPS.
